Conte warns Kane: Records are important, but so are trophies

He has suggested the Spurs striker to challenge more for titles

For many , Harry Kane is already a Tottenham legend as he has given a lot to the team in the last decade scoring 238 goals in 370 games.

However, before Tottenham’s Premier League match with Burnley, coach Antonio Conte has given indications that the records are good but winning trophies is what is remembered at the end of his career.

“Records are important, but at the same time, also very important at the end of your career are the trophies,” said Conte.

Kane was a starter at Tottenham since coach Mauricio Pochettino was there, who then made him a starter in the lineup from the 2014/15 season, before the Spurs started to have their best seasons.

Tottenham were very close to winning a title next season, but were defeated for trophies by Leicester. They finished second in the 2016/17 season.

They also reached the Champions League final in 2018/19 but failed to win it.

Their last trophy was that of the League Cup in 2008, where Kane was still a child.
