Wenger claims Liverpool are creating a ‘problem’ with Salah’s contract

Arsene Wenger claims that Liverpool are making a problem of themselves with the contract situation of the Egyptian star, Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian has not renewed the terms for a deal that expires at the end of next season.

There is a chance Salah could be sold this summer if he does not commit his future to the Reds before the transfer window closes.

This situation has caused Wenger to warn Liverpool, showing that he is creating a problem with the Egyptian’s contract.

“This solves one problem and creates another,” Wenger initially told beIN SPORTS about the possibility of Salah renewing with a massive pay rise.

“You are sometimes in this position – you say I have to do my best to keep this player, knowing that other players are not far from him. But you no longer have enough money to satisfy other players because you have also spent a lot on it.”

“Salah has had an extraordinary season, and since he came to Liverpool, every year he has been better, so he deserves his contract.”

“The only thing is that, once they reach the age of 30, it is always ‘how long will you sign them’, because the highest paid have already reached their peak”, concluded the Frenchman.
