Tottenham again returns to losses

Tottenham have returned to poor results after the spectacular victory they made against Manchester City at the weekend. Antonio Conte’s boys were defeated tonight by Burnley at Turf Mor 1-0. Ben Mee (71) scored the only goal in this match.

Tottenham have taken a false step to fourth place in the Premier League tonight after being beaten 1-0 by Burnley.

On the other hand this is a significant victory for Burnley in their fight to stay in the Premier League.

The first part was incredibly monotonous.

Neither team was at the right level and neither managed to seriously endanger each other’s gate.

So this part would end in a 0-0 draw.

The second half started much better for Tottenham.

Harry Kane received a nice ball where a foul was caused on it. The cross was good and Kane hit nicely with his head and the ball went into the net but one of the players there made a good perception of the ball by pushing it out of the goal with the ricochet.

The 69th minute would mark a real Burnley threat for Tottenham’s Lloris. Jay Rodriguez made a nice pass, hit the ball but Lloris made a reflexive reception to deny him the goal.

Dejan Kulusevski was very close to scoring for Tottenham in the 70th minute but his ball ended up outside, near the right post of Burnley’s goal.

A minute later Burnley would score from a break.

Josh Brownhill would cross in the area where he would find Ben Mee scoring a beautiful header.

Burnley was close to scoring the second goal in the 83rd minute.

Jay Rodriguez entered the area and hit the ball but was inaccurate as the ball ended up on goal.

This loss left Tottenham in eighth place with 39 points after 24 games in the Premier League.

Burnley on the other hand now has 20 points and is in 18th place with two points less than Newcastle. But Burnley has a less developed match.
