Roman Abramovich is ready to sell his club, Chelsea.
The Russian billionaire actually intends to sell all the properties he has in Great Britain, where he was declared “persona non grata” after being banned from entering and living on the island.
The “Daily Mail” reveals that Abramovich is asking for 3 billion pounds, respectively about 3.6 billion euros for the sale of the London club.
Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss is interested in buying the club and the parties are discussing a possible sale-purchase.
“Like all other oligarchs, Abramovich is in a state of panic. He is trying to sell his villas in England. He also wants to sell Chelsea as soon as possible. I and other people received an offer on Tuesday to buy Chelsea from Abramovich,” the Swiss billionaire told Blick.
“I have to wait another four or five days. Abramovich is currently asking for a lot. “I am ready to offer him 2 billion euros,” Wyss continued.
“Today, we do not know the exact selling price. I would imagine myself entering Chelsea with partners. However, I have to look at the general possibilities first. I will not go into this job alone, that’s for sure. If I buy Chelsea, then we will be 6 or 7 investors,” he concluded.
But Abramovich is reportedly looking to sell the club he bought in 2003 as soon as possible.
He is facing sanctions from the UK as he is considered a close ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is trying to invade Ukraine.
Abramovich is also trying to sell his many properties in London, which amount to more than 1 billion euros.
Most recently, he is staying in the UAE, trying to sell properties in the UK.
Chelsea has been one of the most successful clubs in the world since he bought it at the turn of the century.
