The president of Barcelona, ??Joan Laporta, has opened the doors of his return to Lionel Messi at the “Camp Nou”.
Yesterday, the father and at the same time the manager of the Argentine star, Jorge Messi stressed that he hopes that one day his son will return to “Blaugrana”.
A few hours later, such a wish was expressed by the head of the Catalan club.
Asked by Deportes Cuatro journalist David Ibanez if he would like to see Messi at the Camp Nou again, Laporta replied: “Yes, of course I would.”
Laporta had in the past said he had no regrets about Messi’s departure, adding that the club is bigger than anything else.
He also added that the club is not planning to bring back the seven-time Golden Ball winner.
However, now it seems that Laporta has left the door open for Messi to return to Barcelona in the future.
But many details remain to be resolved, above all financially, before that happens.
Messi left Barça last summer as a free agent to join Paris-Saint Germain.
However, the recent winner of the Copa America has not found himself at all in the “Princes’ Park” and there is more and more speculation about his return to Catalonia.
