Stefano Pioli explains what brought Olivier Giroud – Milan and the importance of their victory as a guest of Napoli, but he continues to insist that Inter is the favorite for the Scudetto.

This was the first time after 11 meetings that Pioli had been able to defeat Luciano Spalletti, having previously achieved only three draws.

The score was sealed by Olivier Giroud, who managed to redirect a rebellious attempt by Davide Calabria in the bottom corner.

He puts Milan at the top with 60 points, followed by Inter with 58 (with one game less), Napoli with 57 and Juventus with 53.

“These are three important points, we beat a strong team that caused us a lot of problems, because the boys worked very, very hard without the ball and deserved this victory,” Pioli told DAZN.

“We have a very attacking channel on the left, so if we pay a little in terms of defense, it’s worth risking for the potential we have to move forward. We tried to be aggressive, Tomori and Kalulu worked very well at Osimhen.”

“We wanted an aggressive midfield, but also a quality one, knowing that we could find gaps between their lines. We were in the game from start to finish, it was a good performance, but more delicate matches will come.”
