Neville “hits” Chelsea owner Abramovich

Gary Neville has hit back at Chelsea’s owner Roman Abramovich, who recently decided to run the club from the charity after being barred from entering and living in England.

The Russian billionaire made this decision after Russia began to invade the state of Ukraine with attacks.

However, the Chelsea charity has not yet agreed to take over the management of the club, as they still have some unclear things.

Sportsmail revealed on Sunday that some of the foundation’s seven trustees have reservations about accepting the offer.

Following these events, the English football legend, Gary Neville, reacted through a post on his official Twitter account.

“The believers refused to use it as a shield! They wanted to help Chelsea’s efforts in the community. Low from Abramovich and anyone who advised him,” wrote the Sky Sports analyst.

Recall that the trustees of the Russian owner met before Sunday’s loss to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup to discuss how the regulation of “administration” would work in practice.

Concerns are believed to include doubts as to whether acting as manager is consistent with taking over the administration of the club, uncertainty about how the role change will involve representation on the board, and fears that they may be accused of attempting to cover up any potentially illegal or immoral.
