The Argentine striker has spoken about the Champions League and his life at PSG
Lionel Messi has said that Paris Saint-Germain has no reason to envy the historically great clubs, with many critics saying that the Qatari investor project was done in a team without history and despite the fact that they have a star-studded lineup are unable to compete with the big clubs that more than finance have historical success and popularity.
The same opponents tend to argue that the French club will need time to be at their level and certainly can not claim to speak until they win a Champions League.
For Messi, however, PSG has no reason to envy the historically great clubs that have already cemented their name as football giants.
Speaking to the club’s official magazine, the Argentine star spoke about his first impressions of the new club and how much he is enjoying life in Paris so far.
“PSG is a growing club, which has ambitions and wants to grow more and more,” said Messi.
“There is room for growth and strength as well.”
“PSG is one of the biggest clubs in the world and they will continue to grow bigger, they have no reason to envy historically big clubs.”
