Italy coach Roberto Mancini called goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma yesterday (Thursday), while Juventus is still interested in the Paris Saint-Germain star.
Donnarumma is in the spotlight after a costly mistake against Real Madrid in the second match of the 1/8 in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The 23-year-old spurred Los Merengues’s return to the Bernabeu by losing the ball inside the area and leading to a 1-1 draw by Karim Benzema.
According to the newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, the coach of Italy, Mancini, called the 23-year-old yesterday to calm him down, as the Azzurri will play the ‘play-off’ match of the World Cup against Northern Macedonia in less than two weeks.
The Italian newspaper also reports that Juventus has resumed their interest in the former Milan goalkeeper, who is considering his future in Paris. The 23-year-old has never felt loved in the French capital and may consider his options at the end of the season.
