Manchester City have reportedly received a major boost in their pursuit of the transfer of Inter striker Lautaro Martinez.

Martinez has recently extended his contract with the current Serie A champions, a contract which is valid until 2026.

However, his poor form in 2022 has left the Nerazzurri leaders prepared for his possible departure.

The English club, Liverpool and the Spanish one, Atletico Madrid were rumored to be the two most interested teams for Lautaro, but now they will also have a strong rival.

According to The Sun, City are interested in signing the Argentine striker, trying to beat their rivals, Liverpool, in this competition.

Inter are also not standing idly by as they have already labeled Lautaro potential followers at the Giueseppe Meazza.
