Milan director Paolo Maldini has set a challenge to the city’s rivals, Inter, as to who will be the first to reach 20 Serie A titles.
The Reds managed to equal the number of trophies in the Italian football elite with the Nerazzurri when they got their 19th Scudetto on Sunday and a 20th would mean a second star on the symbol on their jerseys.
And when Maldini was told on the TV show Che Tempo Fa that they had equalized Inter’s overall score, the red and blacks’ director said: “We will take the second first star.”
As a player, Maldini won the Scudetto on seven occasions as a Milan player.
But this one after 11 years of waiting and now in a leadership role, could probably mean more to him.
