La Liga president Javier Tebas insists Barcelona cannot transfer Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich at the moment.
The Polish striker became the target of major European clubs after publicly declaring that his experience with the Bavarian giants is over.
The 33-year-old has one year left on his contract with the German champion, who is trying to keep him by all means.
But, his transfer to “Camp Nou” seems more probable.
However, everything has stopped La Liga number 1, who says that “Blaugrana” are not in a favorable situation to transfer the best footballer in the world of the last two years, announced by FIFA.
Tebas insists that the Catalan club knows full well that once it has to sell players to generate funds and alleviate economic problems, and then think about making player transfers.
“They (Barcelona) know what they have to do. They know very well our rules of economic control and their financial situation. Rules are made to quell economic problems. I do not know if they will sell De Joga, Pedri or Pepito Perez. They know what they have to do: sell their assets and earn more, that’s what they have to do,” the La Liga leader told the Spanish daily Marca.
Foreign media have recently written that Bayern can sell Lewandowski for 30 to 40 million euros.
