Inter executives have met with striker Sebastien Haller’s agents, but Ajax are asking for 35 million euros to sell the 27-year-old.
Scoring 32 goals in 34 games in all competitions this season, Haller is one of the most productive strikers in Europe in the 2021/2022 season.
The 27-year-old’s contract expires in June 2025 and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, his agents met with Inter earlier this week to discuss a possible move to Giuseppe Meazza at the end of the season.
The striker’s representative has informed Inter about the price demanded by Ajax for their client, which is around 35 million euros.
The Nerazzurri may not offer that much, but a move to Italy tempts Haller, so the two sides will stay in touch for the next few months.
Haller is not the only striker monitored by the Nerazzurri, who have already opened talks with Sassuolo for Italian Gianluca Scamacca.
Romelu Lukaku is also seen as a potential target for the Serie A champions as the Belgian striker would like to return to Meazza.
However, Inter’s financial situation makes it difficult to imagine a possible return of the Belgian striker and other alternatives will be more realistic.
