Ciro Immobile did not travel to Portugal for the Europa League play-off match against FC Portos, as the Lazio striker had a high fever.
According to recent reports, Immobile had high fever all night and was not in training during the day.
So the team has decided not to take risks, as his condition could get worse, so he has not traveled with the rest of the team to Portugal.
He is not the only player missing in this match, as Manuel Lazzari will be out for a few weeks with a groin injury. Acerbi is another player that will be missing.
The team currently has no central striker, as Lazio loan Vedat Muriqi to Real Mallorca in January.
Pedro or Felipe Anderson will play in this match as a false 9, with Mattia Zaccagni who will make up the attacking trio of Maurizio Sarri’s formation, 4-3-3.
Luvas Leica and Luis Alberto are suspended in Serie A this weekend, so they will start and there will be no need for rotation on Thursday.
What remains doubtful about this match are Thomas Strakosha or Pepe Reina to score.
