Ibrahimovic: For six months I played without a ligament, but I wanted the title

Zlatan Ibrahimovic underwent knee surgery yesterday and the Swedish striker is expected to miss up to 7-8 months.

Meanwhile, the attack veteran made a post on social networks today, through which he explained the situation in which he found himself in recent months.

He could not contribute to the “Rossoneri” on the green field, but helped the team and supported it from the bench.

“In the last six months I have played without a ligament in my left knee. My knee was swollen for six months. I was only able to train with the team 10 times in the last six months. I had to take 20 injections every six months. I have emptied my knee once a week for the last six months. I had deadly pain every day for six months. I could hardly sleep for six months because of the pain. I have never suffered more on and off the field. I did something impossible into something possible. I had only one goal in mind, to make my teammates and the coach champion of Italy, because I had made that promise. Today I have a new ligament and another trophy,” wrote the Swedish striker, who described all the sacrifices, hardships and difficulties that followed this year.

Ibrahimovic has not yet announced whether he will end his career as a footballer or whether he will continue to play.
