Zlatan Ibrahimovic wants to extend his contract with Milan.
The Swedish striker is expected to remain part of the “Rossoneri” next season, while he will receive a symbolic salary and most of it will be related to personal and team results.
The news was announced by the Italian media “La Gazzetta dello Sport”.
The meeting with technical director Paolo Maldini and sporting director Frederic Massara is expected to take place next week when the veteran striker will return to Milan to begin rehabilitation.
The 40-year-old is currently in Sweden to relax with his family after knee surgery, which will leave him out of the green until January 2023.
And, once he returns to the fashion city, he will make an appointment with Milan executives to talk about the future.
Ibra will turn 41 in early October, but that fact is not stopping him.
The Swedish legend wants to continue, at least another year.
