Gary Neville believes Man Utd is out of the top four after the draw against Leicester City

Former Manchester United legend Gary Neville has said that the Red Devils’ hopes of reaching a place that sends them to the Champions League have ended after their draw with Leicester City on Saturday, as they are now out of the race for the top four.

Fred saved a point in a particularly anonymous appearance from the Red Devils at Old Trafford against the Foxes, to go three points behind fourth-placed Arsenal, with the Gunners in shape and having two games less.

With Tottenham Hotspur level on points with United and an extra game to play, the chances of securing top-level European football seem to have faded and Neville agrees that their hopes may be unattainable.

“I think yes. The clash began after the international holiday. They should have started it with a victory, but did not achieve it. The way they drew was a really bad game,” Neville said when asked if United could finish in the top four.

“Sometimes, teams can look a little rusty when they come back, but I thought the break would work for United, because I thought it would be good for the players to leave the club and then come back and give it a fair go. ”.

“These will be two long months for those United players and fans. It will be difficult in their remaining eight games if they continue in that form,” concluded the Red Devils legend.
