The Football Federation of Russia has reacted after FIFA and UEFA expelled him from all international competitions.

The decision came a few hours ago, as a sanction for the military attack that Russia is carrying out in Ukraine.

The Russian Football Federation has disagreed with the decision, saying it is discriminatory and harms a large number of athletes.

“The Russian Football Federation categorically disagrees with the decision of FIFA and UEFA to suspend and exclude all Russian teams from participating in international matches for an indefinite period. We think that this decision is contrary to the norms and principles of international competition, as well as the sports spirit. It has a markedly discriminatory character and harms a large number of athletes, coaches, employees of national clubs and teams, and most importantly, millions of Russian and foreign fans, whose interests international sports organizations must protect in the first place. Such actions are dividing the world sports community, which has always adhered to the principles of equality, mutual respect and independence from politics. We reserve the right to challenge the decision of FIFA and UEFA in accordance with international sports law.”
