Christian Eriksen made his long-awaited Brentford debut against Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday.

This is an extraordinary comeback for the midfielder, who eight months ago suffered a cardiac arrest, falling on the field during Denmark’s loss to Finland at Euro 2020.

The 30-year-old joined the game in the 52nd minute to replace Mathias Jensen as they lost 2-0 to Newcastle United.
