Barcelona coach Xavi has said that Ousmane Dembele could play for the first time at the Camp Nou since the turbulent January saga, when Barca face Napoli tonight in the Europa League.

Dembele appeared for Barca for the first time after more than a month as a substitute in the 2: 2 draw with Espanyol on Sunday.

The 24-year-old striker was left out of the squad during the January transfer window after club executives tried to oust him, but the Frenchman decided to stay at Camp Nou until his contract expires in June.

Xavi hinted that Dembele could play starter against Napoli at the Camp Nou on Thursday.

“We do not rule out the possibility of him playing at home or on the road. Whether he plays or not depends only on how the players are trained and who is better and who is worse. He can play,” said Xavi.

“He has already played against Espanyol and helped us a lot in the last 20 minutes,” he added.
