Conte to Arteta: “Stop complaining”

Antonio Conte told Mikel Arteta to stop complaining after Tottenham beat Arsenal 3-0 in a controversial North London derby.

Two goals from Harry Kane in the first half and one from Son Heung-min after the break brought the Spurs one point closer to Arsenal in the battle for fourth place in the Champions League with two games remaining until the end of the season.

The points of the night’s conversation were not the goals, but the penalty given by referee Paul Tierney for a kick by Cedric Soares to Son for the first goal and then a second yellow card to Arsenal defender Rob Holding, as he seemed to hit the Korean in the face with his elbow after half an hour.

Arteta complained on these two occasions, and Tottenham coach Antonio Conte told him to stop complaining.

“Mikel Arteta is doing a really good job, but I have heard him complain a lot. “I think he should focus more on his team and not complain,” said Conte.
