Barcelona are looking to strengthen their defensive options and have set their sights on Cesar Azpilicueta.

The Catalans have offered the Spaniard a two-year deal with the option to extend it for another year.

Negotiations have been under way since December, but Barcelona are still waiting for Azpilicueta to make the final decision.

Chelsea, on the other hand, hope their captain stays, as they believe he still has something to offer the London club.

The 32-year-old has been part of Chelsea since 2012, and in recent years, he has become an undisputed starter at Stamford Bridge.
