Alemany for Lewandowski at Barcelona: There is speculation, there is no agreement

With Erling Haaland becoming a more difficult transfer to complete, Barcelona are not ruling out a move for Robert Lewandowski, although the club’s sporting director Matthew Alemany has dismissed speculation that the Blaugrana have a deal with the Polish striker.

Bayern Munich has reiterated their stance that Lewandowski will not be sold in the summer transfer window, despite the fact that the former Borussia Dortmund star has so far refused to agree to a contract extension.

The Pole’s name has been linked with a move to the Camp Nou over the summer, but apparently there is no deal, as this has been denied by Barcelona sporting director Alemany.

“We do not have any agreement with the striker, this is speculation from the press that is very good to fill the pages,” said Alemany initially.

“It’s not true. “If we wanted him, the first thing we would do would be to talk to his club.”

Otherwise, Barcelona were eliminated on Thursday by Eintracht Frankfurt from the Europa League and the need to add new strikers is evident.
