Roma has managed to win the first final of the Conference League where it defeated Feyenoord at ‘Air Albania’ in Tirana.
The Giallorosi triumphed in the grand final after scoring a goal through Nicolo Zaniolo after 32 minutes of play.
Feyenoord coach Arne Slot said his team played well the first 15 minutes of the game, but then problems started for them.
“It is always interesting to see how the first 15 minutes go. In that part we had control of the match. But one part of the game lasts 45 minutes. And our problems were with the choices made by our players, with or without the ball”, analyzed coach Arne Slot after the meeting at the press conference.
The Dutch coach further said that his team needed a little more luck in this final.
“I told the players during the break that they had to do better. In the second half we were attentive from the beginning but needed a little luck and we didn’t. We had the time and opportunity to score and we did not succeed. Maybe it also has to do with the quality of the opponents”, Slot continued.
At the very end number one of Feyenoord’s technical staff said that against a team led by Mourinho it is difficult to create many chances.
“In a final you do not have dozens of chances, you can have two. In a final against an Italian team it is especially difficult to create chances, especially when it is an Italian team led by Mourinho”, said Slot after the match.
