Arsenal have announced that they have reached a new agreement with Mohamed Elneny.
The player will stay until 2023 at the Emirates, while he is expressed extremely happy with the new contract.
“Midfielder Mohamed Elneny is extending his stay with us,” Arsenal said in a statement.
“Mo, has been a key member of the team since joining us from Basel in 2016. He has made 147 appearances, scoring five goals and contributing 10 assists.”
“Mo, the first Egyptian to play for the club, has 93 international appearances on his behalf.”
“He made his Arsenal debut in a 2–1 victory over Burnley in the FA Cup in January 2016 and was on the winning team of the 2016/17 FA Cup.”
“He was also part of the team that won the FA Community Shield in 2017 and 2020 and helped us reach the UEFA Europa League 2018/19 final in Baku,” they said in a statement.
