Bayern Munich has confirmed that it has reached an agreement with Manuel Neuer to renew his contract.
The German goalkeeper had a contract until June 2023 and the Bavarians did not want to risk him leaving afterwards as a free agent.
Therefore, through an announcement on social networks, the Bundesliga champion has announced that Neuer will be part of them until 2024.
“FC Bayern has extended Manuel Neuer’s contract with another year until June 30, 2024. No. 1 German was transferred to Munich from Schalke in 2011. The 36-year-old has been FCB captain since 2017,” it said. their communiqué.
On the other hand, Neuer said he is very pleased to continue to be part of the club for another year.

Neuer has won 10 Bundesliga titles, five DFB Cups, six DFL Super Cups, two Champions Leagues, the FIFA Club World Cup and the UEFA Super Cup at FC Bayern. He has made 472 competitive appearances for the club. The goalkeeper has 109 appearances for Germany, which is a record in his position. He won the World Cup in Brazil in 2014. He has been rewarded for his amazing achievements with five awards for best IFFHS goalkeeper in the world, and was FIFA Men’s Best Goalkeeper and UEFA Goalkeeper of the Year in in 2020. Neuer has been Germany’s Footballer of the Year in 2014 and 2011.
