Although Real Madrid have to plan another Champions League final, Carlo Ancelotti must first see his team in the final match of the season in La Liga Santander.
Los Blancos host Real Betis on Friday night at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu and Ancelotti will hope his players avoid any unnecessary injury before the trip to face Liverpool in Paris.
Looking beyond Betis’s game, Ancelotti already has a clear starting 11 for the Paris final.
“I have no doubts about the starting line-up in Paris,” said Ancelotti when asked how he would line up his team in the final, which is still a week away.
“My only doubt is who will play a more important role, those who start or those who end the game,” he said.
With the title completed since April, Real Madrid has been able to take things relatively lightly lately. Meanwhile, Liverpool will fight for the Premier League title in the last round of the season.
“It is true that they are still fighting for the league title,” Ancelotti replied when asked which position he would prefer to be in.
“We had more time to think about this game, but we did not think about it and we will not think about it until Monday. But we have everything ready. Real Madrid fans are excited about the Champions League final and we want to win the 14th. Nothing else,” he concluded.
