Ousmane Dembele has become the best assistant in La Liga, after the Barcelona winger passed Karim Benzema of Real Madrid, with whom he was equal until the last match.
The Real Madrid player has 11 assists, while the Barcelona player now has 13. Jordi Alba is in third place with 10.
It should also be noted that Dembele has played 10 games less than Benzema this season in La Liga.
The Barcelona star missed his first 13 La Liga games due to a thigh injury and, in January, was out due to his refusal to renew his contract with the club.
Xavi has released the best version of the Frenchman, as every one of his assists has been made with the Catalan coach on the Barcelona bench.
Lazy opened the series of assists against Elches. He also scored against Sevilla in both games, as did Valencia and Levante. He was also included against Athletic Bilbao, Real Madrid, Osasuna and Celta (two).
Dembele’s good performances under Xavi led the club to resume negotiations on a contract with the Frenchman a month ago. His future remains a question mark.
