Karim Benzema is having the best season of his career.

The French striker scored last night to help Real Madrid reach the final of the Champions League.

He scored from the penalty spot to eliminate Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City to find his 15th goal of the season in the Champions League.

And, coming out of the field, the fans applauded their star.

Even, as “Sky” reports, the fans at the “Bernabeu” stadium sang in the choir: “Karim Golden Ball”, demanding that the French star be awarded the prize of the best player of the year in the world.

Benzema is the absolute favorite to win the Golden Ball, for the first time in his career.

He helped Real triumph in La Liga and reach the Champions League final, where they will claim the trophy on May 28 against Liverpool in Paris.
