Former Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman has spoken about the situation at the Catalan club.

The Dutch coach stressed that he feels sorry for the current situation of the club, as he said that it is the same as what I had.

“The situation of Barcelona, ??the team and the club is the same as when I was. This means that changing coach does not always mean being able to improve. The club situation hurts me, it hurts me. I only ask for maximum support for Xavi. He is a good coach and a club legend. It is not his fault that Barcelona is in this situation,” Koeman told Mundo Deportivo

Koeman is seeking support from the Barcelona club for Xavi, as according to him, he did not have it.

“The only thing I want is support for Xavi. I did not have the full support of the president, but I hope he has learned and supported Xavi. I did not have the full support of the club: I hope Xavi has it. When I left Barcelona, ??the difference with Real Madrid was 8 points. Now it is almost double,” he said.

Currently, Barcelona is in second place with 63 points, 15 less than Real Madrid leading the table.
