Real Madrid believe in Tchouamen’s signing

Spanish club Real Madrid are confident of signing Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni.

According to the AS newspaper, the Spanish giants from Santiago Bernabeu have decided to follow the Frenchman’s signature.

The Spanish newspaper also claims that the two clubs have made progress in the negotiations in recent weeks, although there is still work to be done to agree on a fee.

Monaco are thought to value their player at just over €50m or around €65m.

Los Blancos scout chief Juni Calafat is said to have followed Tchouamen’s progress for months and the club is’ completely confident ‘of the deal given the player desire to join the 13-time European champions’ .

If he signs, Tchouamen is likely to be a long-term successor of the ‘aged’ midfielder the 36-year-old Luka Modric, 32-year-old Toni Kroos and 30-year-old Casemiro.
