Manchester United reach agreement with the new coach

Erik ten Hag has agreed a four-year deal to become the new Manchester United manager from next season.

The 52-year-old will replace interim coach Ralf Rangnick, who was brought in to replace Ole Gunnar Solksjaer in November 2021.

Unless there is a sudden setback, Ten Hag will be coaching the Red Devils over the summer and confirmation of his arrival will be made in late April.

Ten Hag wanted to make sure he would be involved in transfer decisions before making a decision to leave Ajax for Old Trafford.

Manchester United say a formal agreement has not yet been signed, but they have stated that talks are at an advanced stage for a new coach.

Ten Hag was reportedly United’s favorite candidate for the post, ahead of Paris Saint-Germain Mauricio Pochettino.
