Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has spoken about the race against Liverpool for the Premier League title this season.
City triumphed 2-0 on the trip to Burnley in Week 31’s game, just as Liverpool did by beating Watford 2-0 at home.
These two victories make the lead of one point remain the same, with City leading with 73 points and Reds in second place with 72 points.
That the race for the title is expected to be fierce until the end, this is also the opinion of the club coach from Etihad Guardiola.
Guardiola hopes his side win the remaining eight games and the Reds lose one to eventually win the title.
“We will fight. We hope Liverpool will lose against a match, but other than that match – I do not think they will lose points,” Guardiola told the BBC.
“We have to face the pressure. We have done this in the past when we had to win 14 games in a row in 2019 “.
“Now we have to win eight games, otherwise we will not be champions,” concluded the City coach.
