Barcelona prepares exchange agreement with Bayern for Lewandowski

Barcelona are reportedly considering a move for Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette if they are unable to sign Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich.

The current contract of the Pole with the Bavarians will expire in 2023 and talks have stalled for an extension of the contract.

According to reports in Spain, the German champions are ready to offer the 33-year-old only one year contract, while he is asking for more.

The Diario Sport article claims that Lewandowski has now decided to join Barcelona and has already informed the Catalan club that he wants to transfer to the Nou Camp this summer.

Bayern are said to value the player at around 60 million euros, but may be willing to sell him for a lower fee as part of a swap deal for Barcelona defender Sergino Dest.

Dest was linked with Bayern before joining Barcelona in a €30 million move from Ajax in 2019.

The 21-year-old has made 68 appearances for Barcelona but could be allowed to leave the club to facilitate the move for Lewandowski.

Sport claim that Barcelona have identified Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette as another option if they are unable to sign Lewandowski or another target reported on Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.

Lacazettes’ contract expires at the end of the season and he is free to negotiate with other clubs.

The 30-year-old, who has not ruled out staying at the Emirates, could be reunited with former Arsenal striker Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang at the Camp Nou.

Aubameyang joined Barcelona as a free transfer to the January transfer window after leaving Arsenal by mutual agreement.
