Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly opened talks with Tottenham Hotspur coach Antonio Conte, who has a clause to leave the London club at the end of the season.
According to Calciomercato.com, the Ligue 1 giants have begun negotiations with the Italian coach, who signed an 18-month deal with Spurs in November.
However, according to the report, a clause in the contract allows the former coach of Inter and Juventus to leave Spurs at the end of the season.
Early last week, Conte himself stated that he would discuss his future with the club at the end of the season.
“After three months, at the end of the season, we will continue to improve each other’s knowledge and then find the best solution for both,” said Conte.
According to the report, Conte has been tempted by offers from France, but Tottenham will try to persuade the Italian coach to stay at the club at least until the end of the next 2022/2023 season.
The Premier League side lost 3-2 to Manchester United last week, but remain in contention for a top-four finish.
PSG are likely to part ways with their coach Mauricio Pochettino at the end of the season and Conte is not the only candidate for the job, as Max Allegri and Zinedine Zidane are also linked with a replacement for the Argentine coach.
