Newcastle join the race for Rudiger’s transfer

Newcastle United have joined the race for the transfer of Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger this summer.

The German center-back has been linked with a move to European giants such as Paris Saint Germain, Real Madrid and Manchester United with his contract expiring at the end of the season.

The 29-year-old has not ruled out the possibility of staying at Stamford Bridge, but his departure looks possible as he does not seem closer to signing a new deal.

The Magpies are ready to fight with some of the biggest clubs in the world for his signing, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Rudiger’s signature would show a true statement of intent by the new owners of Newcastle Saudi Arabia.

Coach Eddie Howe was allowed to bring in players like Kieran Trippier, Chris Wood, Matt Targett, Bruno Guimaraes and Dan Burn during the January transfer window.
