Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola spoke enthusiastically after the derby victory against Manchester United.
Citizens won 4-1 in the local derby, while the Red Devils were completely lost.
“It was a great match from the first minute. We played very well and we had to have patience from the first step,” Guardiola initially stated.
“Ralf Rangnick tried to change the mentality, to make Man United more aggressive, but we created space, especially in the second half, to play behind McTominay and Fred.”
“Football is an emotion. It’s a tactic, of course, but it’s also emotions. “We are a team with the desire and passion to regain the ball from the first minute until the 90th.”
“Jack Grealish was great. In the last third of the field he is very altruistic. When you see Phil Foden and Riyad Mahrez, the ball is theirs.”
“This is another step for Jack, but in terms of decision-making and passing the ball to players who have space, he was extraordinary,” added the City strategist.
