Mourinho is not giving anything to Rome

Former Serie A defender Daniele Adani believes José Mourinho is not giving anything to Roma even though most Giallorossi fans are supporting their coach.

Roma are eighth in the Serie A table, six points away from fourth-placed Juventus. The team has displayed the same problems as in the last two seasons under Paulo Fonseca, when it failed to qualify for the Champions League, losing many games against their direct rivals.

Mourinho signed a three-year contract with Giallorossi in 2021, but has not yet improved things in the capital.

Adani, a former defender of Inter, Fiorentina and Brescia, believes the former Chelsea and Tottenham coach is responsible for Roma’s poor results this season.

“He is not giving anything to Rome, we trusted him, but he is not doing enough,” the 47-year-old told Bobo TV, a Christian Vieri-directed Twitch show with Antonio Cassano, Nicola Ventola and Adan.

“He was forced to introduce new players on Saturday because no one else was available, even though Roma fans do not think so.”

Roma drew 2-2 against Hellas Verona on Saturday with Primavera players Cristian Volpato and Edoardo Bove scoring their first senior goals.

Roma return to the field on Sunday visiting Spezia at the Stadio Picco.
