Bayern barely avoided defeat in Austria

Bayern Munich has barely managed to draw tonight at the Red Bulla Arena against Salzburg in Austria. Adamu (21) scored for Salzburg and equalized at the end of the match Coman (90) for Bayern

Bayern Munich was close to a loss tonight in Salzburg, Austria but it took 90 minutes for them to avoid defeat.

The first half started much better for Bayern Munich, who attacked in the 10th minute through Serge Gnebry but his shot in the left corner is expected by goalkeeper Kohn.

But after this case it was the Austrians who were more persistent.

Bayern reacted in the 30th minute with Sane having a good chance to score but he hit out, very close to the left post of Salzburg’s gate.

In the 45th minute it was thought that Bayern caused the penalty but referee Michael Oliver after watching the VAR did not award the penalty to the locals.

The second half also started with a good chance for Salzburg when Seiwald hit hard but Ulreich waited to send the ball back into the corner.

The ideal opportunity for Bayern came in the 73rd minute from Coman but it was still Kohn, the Salzburg goalkeeper, who made an amazing reception.

Bayern increased the pressure and Gnabry Sane almost scored in the 76th minute.

When it was thought that the match would end with a great victory of the Austrians, Bayern did not think so.

Thomas Muller would have preferred a cross in the area to follow for Kingsley Coman who equalized in the 90th minute.

Five extra minutes brought no change of result and the name of the qualifier in the quarterfinals is expected to be revealed at the Allianz Arena.
