Liverpool have formalized the transfer of Darwin Nunez from Benfica.

The striker from Uruguay has signed a long-term contract, valid until June 30, 2028.

Liverpool have not revealed the transfer price, but it is believed that the English club will pay 100 million euros to Benfica, including bonuses.

Nunez in the last two seasons was part of the Portuguese team, where he scored 48 goals from his 85 appearances in all competitions.

The 22-year-old has also played for Almeria in Spain and Penarol in Uruguay in the past.
