Juventus and Barcelona are closely following midfielder Ilkay Gundogan, who could look forward to leaving Manchester City this summer.
The 31-year-old German midfielder was a regular player on Pep Guardiola’s squad this season, making 43 appearances in all competitions and contributing 16 goals.
He is said to be unhappy with his use last season, possibly due to the fact that he only made 20 appearances as a Premier League starter and so could look to leave the club a year before his contract expires.
According to the German newspaper Bild, Juventus and Barcelona are closely monitoring Gundogan’s situation at City as they consider a possible move over the summer.
The German would be an experienced and enduring reinforcement that could arrive at a low cost for both teams.
The Bianconeri are looking to offer coach Massimiliano Allegri a number of new midfielders this summer and Paul Pogba and the German could be added to the list.
Gundogan joined City in 2016 from Borussia Dortmund in a deal worth around 27 million euros. He has made 253 appearances for the club, scoring 49 goals and providing 33 assists.
