Chelsea has not exercised the right to buy Saul Niguez. The purchase option from Atletico Madrid was included in his loan agreement with the “Blues”.

The Spanish midfielder has confirmed his departure from “Stamford Bridge”.

The 27-year-old will now return to Atletico Madrid. He has a contract with the Spanish club valid until June 30, 2026.
